Curry Garden tops our readers' ballot

Curry Garden has been voted the hottest Indian restaurant in town.

The 21-year-old venue in Katherine Drive, Dunstable, was given the thumbs-up by 492 of the 2,931 Luton & Dunstable Express readers who voted.

It first opened in 1989 and its owner, Shamsul Alam, 43, said he and his two colleagues were delighted with the award.

He said: “We have been in the trade for 21 years and have always made sure our food standards were high from the beginning.

“The chef works hard and I know how to manage and run the businesses. We are always creating new dishes and putting them on the menu for the customers.

“Since we opened, business has always been good and it’s getting better.

“We have already expanded to make the restaurant bigger and refurbished the premises so it’s now contemporary.

“I want to say a big thank you to all my customers for voting and for their support.

“I also want to thank my staff for all their hard work and achievements.”
